Capoeira requires practice. Even the most experienced capoeirista
never stops practicing, and the old masters tell us that there
is always something new to learn. As a beginner you learn
basic movements and rhythms and as you get more skilled you
begin to perform more complicated techniques and rhythms etc.
Capoeira Angola is everything: movement, spirit, music, strategy,
and philosophy. During the lessons you are taught in all these
subcategories and you become involved yourself in sorting
out all the connections. There is a lot to learn, therefore
beginners must remember to respect the more skilled for the
knowledge they have acquired, just as those with experience
must respect beginners for their eagerness to learn, not forgetting
how it was when they started doing Capoeira Angola.
A piece of good advice: take it easy; make steady progress.
It is difficult to recover from long terms of absence and
injuries due to excessive training.
Enjoy yourselves
